Reguliariai darant tempimo pratimus didėja ribotų judesių amplitudė, patempiamos raumenų grupės, turinčios savybę trumpėti, profilaktiškai parengiamas judėjimo aparatas, raumenys atsipalaiduoja po pratybų ar varžybų krūvio, atgaunamas raumenų darbingumas, nusistovi jų kondicija (kokybė po traumų).
